I was feeling the same way. As if someone is controlling us yet we can't see him! After all, how/why did the forum go down, and then it suddenly pops back up again??

You're assuming that we have free will. Maybe our lives are already determined and Ad is the puppet-master. We keep coming back to what feels like home. In this sense, moderation occurs by divine intervention.
